It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Safrit of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiller Barringer and Callie Winecoff Barringer of Kannapolis; her husband Ray Beaver Safrit; her siblings, Charles, Betty, Richard, Ruby, David and Hilda; her son Stephen; and her granddaughter Casey.

She is survived by: her children, Libby Verble, Danny Ray Safrit (Taska) and Annette Baker (Steve); her grandchildren, Karen Tindal (Steven), Jamie Policastro (JP), Kalie Thomas (Greg), Sam Verble, Luke Verble (Anna), Noah Verble, Jordan Safrit (Leah), Grady Baker, Haeley Conovaloff (Adam), Arlynn Thomas (Blake), Merek Slagle, Brittney Morrison (Nick) and Madison Slagle; her great grandchildren, McKenna, Kayla, Karlie, Elijah, Axxle, Kate, Alyssa, Katie Rae, Oaklyn, Carter, Bella and Kennedy; her brother John Barringer (Beverly); and her sister-in-law Martha Barringer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
