He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Merrill Gordon and Ruth Crook Gordon; and his brother Harry Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Simpson Gordon; his daughters, Johnette Gordon Preddy (David), Susan Gordon Lee (Barry) and Lenora Gordon Barnhardt (Kenneth); his siblings, Freddie Gordon (Anna) and Linda Gordon Sims; his grandchildren, Rebekah Lee Mullis (Dustin), Rachel Lee Long (Zach) and Gordon Preddy (Brooke); and his great grandchildren, Emmett Mullis, Keegan Long, Palmer and Deacon Preddy.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Home (8559 Cook St, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124).
