She was predeceased by: her parent George Banks Blake; her husband William "Bill" Kern; and her siblings, Aleen Smith, Walter Lee Blake and John Carlton Blake.
She is survived by: her parent Margie Hartsell Blake; her children, Delinda Huneycutt (Donnie) of Oakboro, Gail Whitley (Kelly) of Mt. Pleasant, Wendy Martin (Chris) of Mt. Pleasant and James Woody (Rose) of Mt. Pleasant; and her sisters, Sylvia Lingerfelt, Betty Page and Doris Burnette. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
