She was predeceased by: her son David Wellman; and her sister Betty Huneycutt. She is survived by: her husband James David "Perk" Wellman; her son Greg Wellman (Djunna); her grandchildren, David Wellman, Kenny Talley and Jamie Talley; her great grandchildren, Jerimiah Halladay and Mason Halladay; and her siblings, Peggy Drye (Johnny) and William Smith.
