She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Elliot Blalock and Sandra Mathis Blalock Marham; and her brother Jonathan Elliot Blalock. She is survived by: her husband Dwayne Strickland; her children, Mikayla Starnes of Newport and Robert Dwayne Strickland of Seven Springs; her grandson James Sutton (Calypso) of Newport; and her stepmother Cecilia Wise of Mount Olive.
The family welcomes floral tributes, as well as memorial gifts which may be made to the charity of one's choosing.
