He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Grimes Burroughs; his sister Dean B.; his brother-in-law Roy Coates of Calypso; his brother Danny Burroughs of Goldsboro; his siblings-in-law, Mary Martin G. Holloman and Danny Holloman of Mount Olive; his nieces and nephews, Martin Grimes Holloman of Mount Olive, John Matthew Holloman of Mount Olive, Nelson Roy Coates (Chelsey) of Seven Springs, Denise Pittman, Amy Johnson, Miranda Burroughs and Ada Theriac; his great-nephew Waylon Roy Coates; and his great-niece Kinsey Jo Coates.
