She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Thigpen; her parents, John Taylor and Sallie Taylor; her siblings, Charlie Mack Taylor, Leonard Taylor, Freddie Taylor and Myrtie Taylor Davis; and her grandsons, Mitchell Lynn Thigpen and Jeffrey Trevor Thigpen.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Thigpen, Lylton Ray Thigpen (Juliann) of Delway, Jeffrey Lynn Thigpen (Kim) of Kenansville and Stephen Lee Thigpen (Teresa) of Calypso; her grandchildren, Douglas Thigpen, Lori Jernigan, Clinton Thigpen, Mitchell Thigpen and Corey Thigpen; her great grandchildren, Julie, Cameron, Mikayla, Jayden, Elliana and Lane Arthur; and her brother Brad Taylor of Kinston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
