He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Homer Large; and his sister Joyce Silcox. He is survived by: his wife June P. Large; his daughters, Lisa Lynn Morrison (Mark) of Canton, Lori Lena Shelton of Jackson, Jodi Lynn Hartman of Trinity, NC, Tina Marie Hartman (William Marthel "Marty") and Jones of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren, Christopher Hartman, Stuart Foster, Michael Foster, Howard Musick and Kristina Carter; his great grandchild Magnolia Morrison; and his siblings, Bobby Large (Pat) of Abington, Charles Large (Cindy) of Ocala, Fla., James Large (Carla) of Flatwoods, Brenda Vanover (Charlie) of Fla and Linda Austin (Jeff) of Damascus.
