He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond L. Adams and Mildred Barwick Adams; and his wife Betsy Flowers Adams. He is survived by: his children, English Albertson (Billy Wiggins) and Jim Adams (Roxie); his grandchildren, Addilee T. Corbett (Marcus), Hilton and Hayes Adams; his great grandchildren, Breece A. Corbett and Aydin Corbett; and his sisters, Barbara A. Davenport and Jewel A. Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home (1005 N Church St, Mt Olive, NC 28365). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (165 E Main St, Mt Olive, NC 28365). A reception was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "Peanut Crew" at First United Methodist Church, Mount Olive, an organization close to Jimmy's heart.
