It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Dempsey Lane (Mount Olive, North Carolina), who passed away on October 17, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Kay Johnson Lane; his son Jon Douglas Lane; his parents, Dempsey Lane and Grace Cox Lane; and his sister Reba Jean Lane.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Jones Lane; his daughters, Marjorie Lane Britt (Ronnie) of Mount Olive and Meredith Lane Cross (Robert) of Swansboro; his stepson Raymond Overman (Jenny) of Fort Mill, SC; his granddaughters, Anna Aaron, Katherine Tyson Overman and Charlotte Emily Overman; his great grandchild Thomas Aaron; and his siblings, Janice Lane of Indiana and Jerry Lane (Brenda) of Goldsboro.
