She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Whitfield and Ruby Fields Whitfield; her spouse L. B. Brewer; her children, Brad Brewer and Rebecca B. Kelly (Mike); and her siblings, Jim "Buddy" Whitfield and Alma Jean Wells.
She is survived by: her caregiver Carolyn Straughn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.
