She was predeceased by: her husband Drifty Wayne Holmes; her parents, Yulis Ray "Teener" Pate and Ruby Jarman Pate; and her sister Myrtle Pate Price. She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Holmes Rakela-Miner (Gary Miner) of Angier; her brother Jimmy F. Pate of Mount Olive; her grandchildren, Chase Deaver, Shane Deaver, Skyler Wellington, Sterling Wellington, Caden Rakela, Bridgett Miner and Christopher Ty Rakela; her nieces, Christy Pate Jones and Heather Pate; and her nephew C. J. Pate. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
