She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Hall and Ellen Hall; her husband Paul J. Whaley; her siblings, Beulah Jones, Ronnie Sykes, Inez Tweedy and Eva Starnes; and her niece Thelma Davis.
She is survived by: her children, David Alfred Whaley (Deborah) of Mount Olive, Lena Ellen Whaley Jones (Kenneth) of Mount Olive and James Roy Whaley (Patricia) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Jason Whaley, Stacy Jones, Ashley Heath (David), Joshua Whaley (Ebony) and Brook Danks (Marc); and her great grandchildren, Paul O'neal Whaley, Noah Heath, Zoey Marie Whaley, Taylor Heath, Everett Danks and Ira Danks.
