She was predeceased by: her former husband Cecil Donald Waters; her husband Charles "Charlie'Weldon Swinson; her parents, Walter Hodges and Elsie Virginia Hazzard Hodges; and her sister Carolyn Hodges.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Waters Wise and Donald Lee Waters (Colleen) of Florida; her stepdaughters, Teresa Swinson Thigpen (Steve) of Calypso and Laura Swinson Skinner (Dwayne) of Mount Olive; her grandchildren, Trey Pate (Kelli) of Grantham, Dustin Waters (Melissa) of Florida, Mitchell Thigpen (Noelle) of Mount Olive, Corey Thigpen (Krista) of Mount Olive, D. J. Skinner of Mount Olive, Morgan Skinner of Mount Olive, Charleston Skinner of Mount Olive and Chase Skinner of Mount Olive; her great grandchildren, Savannah Pate, Elli Thigpen and Waylon Thigpen; and her sister Judy Griffin (Alton).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Wayne County Nursing Foundation, a local animal shelter/rescue, or to the charity of one's choice.
