He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Franklin Kornegay and Virgina Mc Arthur Kornegay; and his siblings, Geraldine K. Harvell, Jane K. Mandeville, Isaac "Bubba" Kornegay, Charlie Mac Kornegay and Scott Kornegay.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Stroud Kornegay; his daughter Tina K.; his son-in-law Bruce Andrews of Mount Olive; his granddaughter MacKenzie Andrews of Mount Olive; and his stepgranddaughters, Dee Mozingo (Stevie) of Clayton and Lynn Sellers (Marty Sellers) of Whiteville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
