She was predeceased by: her husband Rodney J. Wellington; her son Sonny Wellington; her grandson Jeffrey T. Wellington; her parents, Adolph Ball and Daisy Hobbs Ball; and her siblings, Mildred Carraway, Georgia Hansley, Lena Horne, Kenneth Ball and Junior Hansley.
She is survived by: her son Jimmy Wellington; her friend Mary Lou Godbold; her daughter Peggy W. Vick; and her brothers, Alton Ball of Mount Olive and Bobby Ball. She is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
