She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Charles and Bessie Louise Moreland Koska; her spouse Thomas Blake Brown; her sons, Gary and Kenneth Brown; and her siblings, Tommy Lynn Koska, Mary Jane Dummersnell, Thelma Irene Koska and Bobbie Jean Rice.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy B. Walker (Mike) of Goldsboro, Lacey Brown of Goldsboro and Vernon Blake Brown (Bridgette) of Mt. Olive; and her brother Henry Buford Koska of Houston, TX. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
