He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Harkey and Lantie Abernathy Harkey; his wife Nancy Rhyne Harkey; and his siblings, Jo Rita Harkey, Houston and Ben Harkey.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law JoAnne Harkey; and his close friends, Richard Medlin, Kenny and Elizabeth Schronce.
