He was predeceased by: his parent Christine Stroupe Batchelor. He is survived by: his parent Nicholas Edward Batchelor; his wife Freda Allen Batchelor; his children, Mark Batchelor (Christie) and Amy Batchelor Lynn (Shane); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Anna Batchelor, A. J. and Zack Lynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Home Society, Greensboro or to First Baptist Church of Mount Holly Building Fund.
