He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Crawford Bridges and Annie Doggett Bridges; his siblings, Mary Bridges, Hazel B. Sparks, Bill Bridges, Joe Bridges and Eva B. Pruette; and his grandmother B. Nation.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nell Trussell Bridges; his son Joel Eugene Bridges (Hera); and his stepgrandson William James Baird, III. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
