She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Marlowe and Rosie Marlowe; her former husband Mitchell Thurman Frady; and her stepson David Hicks Garrett III. She is survived by: her husband David Garrett Jr.; her children, Karen Emory, Mitch Frady (Iris), Tim Frady (Violet) and Les Frady (Kimberly); and her grandchildren, Terry Emory Jr., Melissa Emory, April Cochran, Johnathan Frady, Tiffany Scott, Kaleb Frady and Jacob Frady. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gaston Hospice or to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
