He was predeceased by: his parents, William Marvin Waddle and Lucille Hatton Waddle; and his siblings, Gerry Waddle and Teresa Crosby. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Mitchem Waddle; his sons, Robert Brian Whitesides (Teresa) and Richard Allan Whitesides (Jeannie); his brother Richard "Dick"; his sister-in-law Sandi Waddle; and his grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Kelsey, Courtney, Zach and Kyle. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
