He is survived by: his pet Zena; his wife Mary Hyatt Alley; his children, Dawn Melton (Allen) and Ross Thomas (Lori); his grandchildren, Wyatt (Alice), Kyle, Cecily and Ivey; his great grandchildren, Tanner and Sutton; and his niece Tammi Guiton.
