He is survived by: his parent Mary Alma Toomey Tench; his wife Vivian Elaine Broome Tench; and his children, Shannon Marcengill (Patrick), Mary Lindsey Lanier (Jason), Steven Todd Smith (Karen) and Robert Scott Smith. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
