It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Wayne Stancil (Mount Holly, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Stancil and Leola Sykes Stancil; his siblings, Melba Cranford, Frances Elrod, Robert Stancil and Dorothy Hill; and his close friend Susan Stancil.

He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Stancil; his brothers, Steve Stancil (Alice) and Jimmy Stancil (Mary); and his brother-in-law Roger Lyman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
