She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Wells Putnam and Ella Wise Putnam; her husband John Elmer Dowdle; her son Roger Dowdle; and her siblings, Viola Smith, Nellie Boyles, Ruby Bynum and Judson Putnam.
She is survived by: her daughter Starr Dowdle McCorkle (Garry); her grandchildren, Michael R. Dowdle (Sundae), Garry Steven McCorkle, Jr. (Shannon) and Casey Alan McCorkle; her great grandchildren, Jay, Aliya, Kailey, Cori, Peyton, Spencer, Wyatt, Stoney and Colt; her great great grandchildren, Paisley and Aeyla; her son Fred Boyles; her great-niece Joan; her nephews, Judson Putnam, Jr. and Dennis Putnam; and her daughter-in-law Katherine Dowdel. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grand children and great great-grandchildren.
