It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Brown of Mount Holly, North Carolina, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Keziah and Cimille Deese Keziah; her husband Merlin Eugene Brown; her son Gary Lynn Brown; and her brothers, Tommy Keziah, Bobby Keziah and Eddie Keziah.

She is survived by: her children, Ricky Brown (Donna) and Pamela Brown Skidmore; her grandchildren, Kathryn Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Joshua Brown (Taylor), Leyna Brown, Jessica Clemmer (Joseph) and Mark T. Hoover, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Layla, Alina, Mauer, Harlan, Niall, Jovie and Kollins; her close friend Peggy Lanier; and her pet Mister. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
