It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Stanford Shipp Sr. of Mount Holly, North Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Aleine Rose Link Shipp; and his brother Rodrick Shipp. He is survived by: his father Leon Shipp; his children, Duriel Connor (Crystal), Leon Shipp, Jr. (Katelyn), Austin Shipp, Natasha McCorkle, Shanisha Froneberger and Jessica Shipp; his siblings, Timmy Lee Shipp, Sherry Shipp, Derita Robinson and Patrice Weekley (Robert); his grandchildren, Cassidy Connor, Khristian Wakefield, Sevyn Wakefield, Addison Shipp, Arianna Shipp, Duriel Connor, Jr. and Aubrey Shipp; and his aunts and uncles, Robert Lee Shipp, Thermond Link (Sally), Eldon Link (Toya), Florence Sherrill, Doris Hicks, Joyce McDowell and Brenda Link. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
