He is survived by: his sons, Stacy Gilbert (Tammy), Dean Gilbert (Kelly) and Matt Gilbert; his siblings, Sue Schronce and Gene Gilbert; his grandchildren, Niki Gilbert, Kelsey Gilbert and Austin Gilbert; his nephews, Dennis Schronce, Michael Schronce and Robbie Gilbert; and his niece Tammy Gilbert.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Chapel (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (2858 NC-150, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
