He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Blanton; his brother Shannon Blanton; and his grandfather Alger McCoig. He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Blanton (Whitney), Brittany Blanton Lay (Patrick) and Devon R. Blanton; his grandmother Betty McCoig; his sister Angela Blanton (Todd Smith); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kenzleigh, Kaylynn, Brayden and Kamden; and his nephew Andrew Blanton.
