She was predeceased by: her parents, William W. Kirby, Jr. and Mozelle Boyles Kirby; her husband James R. Lewis; and her former husband Samuel Hudson. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Lewis Stallings (Bruce) and Kristin Lewis Hovis (Scott); her grandchildren, Bradley Stallings, Heather Hovis, Sierra Stallings Calhoun (Hunter) and Savannah Hovis; her great grandchildren, Chandler Hovis, Colton Calhoun and Cashton Calhoun; and her brother William W. Kirby, III (Katie).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church (740 Rankin Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the East Gaston High School Care Fund in her memory. Donations can be made through the front office of East Gaston High School or by mailing checks designated to the Care Fund to 1744 Lane Rd., Mount Holly, NC 28120.
