It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Robert Bentley of Mount Holly, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bentley and Jean Bentley; his daughter Jodi Bentley Hathcock; his brother Tracy Bentley; and his pet Buddy Love.
He is survived by: his wife Georgeanna Randle Bentley; his daughter Molly Bentley Essick (Brody); his grandchildren, Dalton Hathcock (Rachel) and Eden Jean Essick; his siblings, Jack Bentley Jr., Tommy Bentley, Terri Bentley Hedrick (Tommy) and Mike Finger; his goddaughter Taylor Wilson; and his niece Kaci Wilcox.
