With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Johnny Andrew Smith (Mount Holly, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Smith and Mattie Schronce Smith; his wife Peggy Joyce Rash Smith; his sons, John Allen Smith and Charles Douglas Smith; and his siblings, Barbara Smith Greene, Georgina Ann Smith, Reba Deloris Smith and Ray Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Lynn Smith Bone (Belinda King) and William David Smith (Michelle); his grandchildren, Tabatha Renee Smith, Andrew Taylor Bone (Kimberly), Tammy Stroud, Angela Maynord (Tim), Elizabeth Dean (Joseph), Lydia Smith, Samantha Dawn Smith, Ashley Marie Smith, Leanna Sue Smith and Joseph Smith; his sisters, Estelle Lee and Brenda Taylor; and his nieces, Tracy Greene Sutton, Cheri Greene and Crystal Greene Beaver. He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Chapel (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120).
