For Jimmy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Thompson and Leona Owens Thompson; his siblings, Boyce Thompson Jr. and Mary Gault; and his brother-in-law Edgar "Rock" Gault.
He is survived by: his son Jimmy Bryan Thompson (Wanda Ollis) of Mt. Holly; his sisters, Ann Pearson (Bill) of Gastonia and Martha "Snookie" Thompson of Gaffney; and his sister-in-law Jan Campbell of Washington.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
