He is survived by: his wife Susan Abernathy Barnes; his children, LaTisha Pappas (John) and Rusty Barnes (Katie); his grandchildren, Zach Pappas, Alicia Pappas and Paisley Barnes; his siblings, Bill Barnes (Brenda), Rhonda Murphy (Luther) and Jean Seay (Billy); and his aunt Becky Gillen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
