He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Gordon and Ola Rainwater Gordon; his sister Jean Stewart; his son Chris Elmore; his granddaughter Savanna Elmore; and his nephews, Frankie Sundeen, Quinn Poteat and Raidyn Welch.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Gordon; his children, Barbara Jean Greely, Ersie Stone (Clay) and Josh Elmore; his siblings, Donnie Gordon (Lanie), Dub Mayes, Wayne Mayes (Dean), Bobbie Avant (Jimmy), Kay Settlemyre and Bernice Poteat; and his grandchildren, Michael Greely, Velvin, Lewis, Madison Dulin, Grant Stone, Abby Stone, Makayla Stone and Landon Elmore. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Autism Society of America.
