She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Smith and Agnes Walker Smith; and her siblings, Gail Fore, Sharon Roberts and Tommy Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny Wood; her children, Jerry Ballard (Annette), Donna Soles (Gary) and Wanda Ballard; her grandchildren, Richard Gardner, Jody Ballard, Gary Soles Jr., Ashley Soles, Jeremy Ballard, Brittany Ballard, Bridgette Ballard and Brianna Mobley; her great grandchildren, Christian Gardner, Jenna Gardner, Connor Cherry, Autumn Cherry, Jordyn Doster, Waylon Duran and Emerlyne McCrorey; and her sisters, Freddie Rupp and Sarah Davis.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Benson Funeral and Cremation Services (101 Oak Grove St, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
