The passing of Eugene McEntire of Mount Holly, North Carolina, born in Shelby, North Carolina leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 27, 2024 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William McEntire and Nancy Catherine Daggerhart McEntire; and his daughter-in-law Gayle McEntire. He is survived by: his wife Beulah Mae Ford; his children, Kathryn, Buddy Horton of Lake Wylie, SC., Janice, Allen Arthur of Ernul, NC, Timothy McEntire of Cleveland, SC, Randy and Rickie McEntire of Charlotte, NC.; and his grandchildren, Trea, Joanna Horton, Denise, Jerry Turner, Woody Arthur, Nick, Emily McEntire, Kelly, Matthew McNeill, Curt, Erin McEntire, Tim and Leslie McEntire, Jr.. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the First Baptist Church (300 S Main St, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church, 300 South Main Street, Mount Holly, NC 28120.
