It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Blanton Koone (Mount Holly, North Carolina), who passed away on May 19, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Robbie Koone; his parents, Weldon Koone and Helen Koone; his brother Walter Koone; his niece Janice Stanley; and his brother-in-law Phil Murphy.

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth (Chris Smith), David (Dawn Koone) and Susan Browning; his sister Margaret Murphy; his sister-in-law Peggy Koone; his grandchildren, Brent, Jones, Zachary Smith, Jacob Browning, Tori, Cody Blythe, Anthony and Josh Starnes; his great grandchildren, Kamden Jones, Braxton, Briar, Beckett Blythe, Rosalee, Lee and Franklin Starnes; his nephew Andrew (Jenna Koone); his great-nieces, Alexandria Koone and Kerry Price (Dan Price); and his great-nephew Grant (Erika Stanley).
