He is survived by: his parent Beatrice Jones Edwards; his wife Ernestine Johnson Edwards; his children, Kenneth Edwards, Angel Edwards, Donna Byrd and Rhonda Edwards; his grandchildren, Jerry, Tracey, Lena, Trey, Danielle, Jasmine and Nathaniel; and his great grandchildren, Seth, Naomi, Mikie, Brandon Jr., Zaylan, Kahlia, Lucas, Lyrick, Ava and Holli.
