He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Frank Stone and Edith Stone; his great-grandparents, Gertrude Watts and Sadie Pearl Gosnell; his uncle Steve Crisp; his aunt Dennis Whitesides; and also, Linda Whitesides, JoAnn Perkins and Caleb Crisp.

He is survived by: his parents, Reginald Dean and Doris Barton Whitesides; his sister Regina King (Caleb); his grandmother Myrtle Crisp; his nieces and nephews, Chloe King, Journey King and Parker King; and his stepchildren, Preston Dockery and Raelyn Dockery. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
