He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Clifford Platt and Olive Pearl Anspaugh Platt; his wife Frances Ruth Chaney Platt; and his daughters, Cheryl Sides and Cara Moore.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Harper (Steve), Leanna Tow (Travis) and Cindy Carver; and his son-in-law Ronnie Sides. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
