He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Tate and Alice West Tate. He is survived by: his wife Delores Tate; his children, Shannon Tate (Julie) and Casey Tate (Erik Selvey); his grandchildren, Jared Tanner (Hunter), Cadee Tate, Alyssa Selvey and Adrianne Selvey; and his great grandchild Kohen Tanner.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodlawn Chapel (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
