He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Norman Rumfelt and Ruby Henderson Rumfelt; and his wife Rachel 'Juanita Hall Rumfelt. He is survived by: his children, Derek Rumfelt (Victoria), Andrea Smith (Michael) and Mandy Barber (David); his siblings, Richard Rumfelt, Marty Barnes (Ron) and Sam Rumfelt (Susan); and his grandchildren, Stephen Lowery (Jennifer), Kensie Hayes (Thomas), Kayla Jackson (Wes), Callie Lyew (Robert), Aaron Rumfelt, Lauren Smith, Brodie Hilton, Jordan Smith and Madison Smith. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
