She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Hoffman and Elizabeth Robinson Hoffman; her husband Clyde Emmett; her son Lawson L. Smith; her siblings, Jimmy Hoffman, Jean Wilson, Becky Hager, Hugh Hoffman and Eddie Hoffman; and the father of her children John B. Smith, Jr..
