It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Clay of Mount Holly, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. D. Sutton and Jennie Sutton; her husband Joe Clay; her sons, Gene Cuthrell and Craig Cuthrell; and her siblings, Bobbie Strickland, Mae Dee Blackmon and John Sutton.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Johnson, Michelle Lanier and Rodney Clay; and her sisters, Jean Branch and Peggy Eagles. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
