He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Blue and Lilly Alexander Blue; and his siblings, Peggy Workman, Bob Blue, Calvin Blue, James "Nook" Blue and Clyde "Tie" Malcom Blue.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Byrd Blue; his daughters, Beverly Blue Poole (Greg) of Locust and Denise Blue Thompson (Anthony) of Mt. Gilead; his sister Katherine Jane Ormsby of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Emily Hitt, Clay Thompson (Meredith), Tracey Hardwick (Alexandra) and Dylan Hardwick (Ali); and his great grandchild Josie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service (620 Albemarle Rd, Troy, NC 27371).
