She was predeceased by: her parents, James Asbury and Anna Bingham Simpson; her husband Donald "Jaybird" Hartwell McRae; and her brother James Marshall Simpson. She is survived by: her children, Donald "Nook" McRae (Judy) of Mount Gilead and Sally McRae Jackson of Pinebluff; her grandchildren, Angela Deese Roddenberry (Chris), Brooke McRae Thomas (David), Anah McRae (Michael Levin), James Matthew Allred (Laura) and Marsha McRae Dixon (Joseph); and her great grandchildren, C. J., Zach, Lydia, Darby, Ruby, James and Marshall.
