He was predeceased by: his parents, Brantley Vanhoy and Mary Belle Dyer Davis. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Saunders Dyer; his children, Rodney Dyer (Brooke Kinley) of Thomasville, Brian Jay Dyer of Portland, OR and Amity Renae Dyer (Matt Berrier) of Lexington; his grandson Ashton Hudson of Albemarle; his great grandchild Nathan Hudson of Albemarle; and his half-sister Kim Callicutt (James) of Troy.
