He was predeceased by: his parents, G. T. Haywood and Josephine Parsons Haywood; and his grandson Chris Wallace. He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Haywood of Foxfire, Tanya Renee Haywood of Mt. Gilead, Ronald Wayne Haywood, Jr. of Asheboro and Michael Aaron Haywood (Lauren) of Tobaccoville; and his siblings, Tilman Haywood of Mt. Gilead, Stevie Haywood of Mt. Gilead, Bobby Haywood of Mt. Gilead, Garry Haywood (Debbie) of Mt. Gilead, David Haywood (Michelle) of Mt. Gilead, Chuck Haywood (Lisa) of Mt. Gilead and Frances Freeman (Mickey) of Mt. Gilead. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
